Whether for a family reunion, special anniversary or just to capture a special moment, each family sessions is designed to be fun and personal so your entire crew shines. And best of all, together we will create images that look spectacular grouped on your wall, in an album or online, for you to enjoy for years to come.

Family sessions start at $499 and include $300 in print credit to apply to your Keepsakes purchases! 

Each session fee includes photography time and editing*, plus credit towards purchases of my collection of high-quality Keepsakes including fine art prints, canvas gallery wraps, digital images, custom-designed memory albums, and printed metal or glass wall art. All Keepsakes, including digital images and prints, are available in discounted collections or a la carte. 

Your session includes:

  • Consultation to discuss wardrobe and locations
  • Access to my online “What to Wear” Guide, plus tips about preparing for your session
  • Up to a one-hour session on location in the West Linn/LO/Oregon City area, or in and around my Oregon City studio
  • Any number of family members or pets welcome (a little assistance may be requested to help keep your whole crew focused during the session)
  • Session premiere at the studio or online, to review your images in a movie-style format and select your Keepsakes
  • AND – significant premiere-day discounts

*Standard editing includes smoothing skin, whitening teeth, and reducing glare in glasses. High-end retouching services (i.e. – fixing clothing, removing objects, enhancing makeup, altering body shape and size, etc.) is available for an additional $35 per image. 

Seniors:

As the mother of recent West Linn graduates, I have a passion for helping high school and college seniors celebrate their massive achievements with magazine-style portrait experiences. These custom sessions are planned with great care, and include pre-session Zoom calls to plan wardrobe, locations and hair / makeup services (if desired). Prior to your shoot, you’ll receive a signature Session Plan, detailing each location and the outfit to pair with that stop. After the session, we’ll schedule a “Premiere Party,” where you’ll see your photos in an online movie, after which time we work together to select your yearbook photo and Keepsakes.

Picking the Perfect Spot: Whether you love the classic feel of my studio or have a special outdoor spot in mind, we’ll find the perfect place that adds that extra sparkle to your photos.

Your Photo Session

Fun and Relaxed: My number one goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and have a blast. We’ll capture those real, spontaneous moments that truly show who you are.

All About You: This session is your spotlight, whether we’re celebrating your personal journey or the story of your family. I’m here to make sure your photos reflect your unique path and connections.

A Little Extra Polish: Fancy a touch-up? Hair and makeup services are available to add that finishing touch to your look.

Choosing Your Favorites

Selecting the Best: After our session, you’ll get to browse through an online gallery of the top shots. We’ll pick out your favorites together, making sure you love every image.

Yearbook Photos: If you’re a graduating senior, all sessions include a yearbook photo. We’ll review your pictures together and after the final image is edited, my team will ensure it gets submitted to your school (with your approval!) 

Seeing Them in Your Space: With my cool virtual design tool, we can see how your chosen photos will look right in your home, helping you pick the perfect spots for them.

Bringing Your Images to Life

The Magic Touch: Each photo you choose will get a bit of retouching magic to make sure it’s absolutely perfect.

Quick Delivery: You won’t have to wait long. After your session and depending on your session type, we’ll either review your photos together in a movie-style premiere online, or you’ll receive a link to a gallery featuring your best photos, for review.

Booking & Making It Official

Marking the Calendar: Booking ahead is always a good idea, but I’ll do my best to fit you in whenever you’re ready.

The Nitty-Gritty: A deposit locks in your session, with the balance due on the day. My handy electronic invoices make payments a breeze.

Just a Few More Things

Pets Are Family Too: Absolutely bring them along! They add so much joy and personality to your photos.

Changing It Up: Feel free to switch outfits during our session to showcase all your different looks.

Welcome to our FAQ section, where we aim to answer your questions about family photography with Kelly Mooney Photography.

Start by filling out the Q&A I send over—it’s a great way for me to get to know your family better. We’ll also have a Zoom consultation to discuss everything from outfits to the shoot’s location. I’ll provide a “What to Wear” guide to help coordinate your looks without being too matchy. Preparation is key, but remember, the most important thing is to come ready to have fun and be yourselves!

Absolutely! Whether you’re drawn to the cozy atmosphere of my studio or have a special outdoor location in mind, I’m all for it. The location should reflect your family’s personality and the vibe you want for your photos. We’ll discuss all the possibilities during our Zoom call to find the perfect spot.

No worries at all! My approach is all about creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment where everyone can feel at ease. I have plenty of experience working with camera-shy individuals (both young and not-so-young) and have a few tricks up my sleeve to make everyone feel comfortable and even forget the camera is there.

I have a variety of packages available, but most families choose sessions that last between 30 minutes to an hour, to ensure the crew doesn’t get too restless or tired. This still gives us plenty of time to capture a variety of group shots, individual portraits, and those candid moments in between without feeling rushed.

Yes, I do offer optional hair and makeup services to add that extra polish to your photos. If you’re interested, just let me know during our planning session, and I’ll arrange everything for you.

If Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate on the day of our outdoor shoot, we can either reschedule to a better day or move the session to my studio. We’ll stay in touch leading up to the shoot day and make a call that ensures everyone’s comfort and the best possible photos.

After the shoot, I’ll provide a private online gallery of the best images for you to review. You can take your time selecting your favorites for final retouching. This process is all about ensuring you love your family’s photos!

Definitely! If you have a graduate in the family, we can combine the sessions at no extra charge, provided they’re on the same day. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the milestone and capture beautiful family memories all at once.

Your session fee covers planning and shooting time. A non-refundable deposit is required to book your session, with the remaining session fee balance due on the day of the shoot. We’ll send you electronic invoices for both, making the process straightforward and convenient.  After your shoot, you’ll be invited to select from any number of custom-designed Keepsakes including digital files, fine art prints, gallery wrapped canvases, framed prints, albums and more. 

You’ll receive your proofing gallery within a week of your session, and once you’ve made your selections, the final Keepsakes are typically delivered within two weeks (less for digital-only selections, of course). I price myself on a quick turnaround time so you can enjoy your family’s photos as soon as possible.

Absolutely! With our virtual design tool, I can help you preview how your photos will look in your space, making it easy to choose the perfect images for your walls. It’s all part of the personalized service I offer to ensure you’re thrilled with your family’s keepsakes.

Yes, for sure! Pets are a cherished part of the family, and I’m always happy to incorporate them into your family photoshoot. Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly and choose a pet-friendly location if we’re shooting outdoors.

Absolutely! Depending on the length of the shoot, you’re more than welcome to bring a few different outfits for some variety in your family portraits. We’ll discuss how many changes can comfortably fit into our session time during our planning call.

Yes, I do! A family photoshoot gift certificate makes a wonderful present, and I provide a beautifully mounted certificate packaged in my branded packaging, so it’s ready to gift. Whether for a holiday, birthday, or special occasion, it’s a thoughtful way to give the gift of cherished memories.
